Papilloma

A papilloma is a benign skin neoplasm. It develops from flat epithelium and protrudes above the surface of the skin in the form of a papilla. It can be of different colors from white to brown. Elements can be single or multiple. The main cause is the human papilloma virus (HPV).

Papillomas can be similar to: nevus, condyloma, wart, molluscum contagiosum, keratoma, melanoma. In the clinic, you can get advice from a dermatologist, a surgeon and, if necessary, an oncologist. Histological examination of the removed neoplasms is mandatory.

What do we offer?

Our doctors perform papilloma removal with a laser. Laser removal of papillomas is bloodless, as blood vessels coagulation occurs during removal. The laser cuts off papillomas at the base, which minimizes the risk of scarring. In case of scars (and this depends on the characteristics of the skin), we can perform scar polishing, which gives a good cosmetic result. Local application of the laser destroys the virus at the point of impact, which prevents the appearance of papillomas at the site of removal.

In case of multiple papillomatosis, a mandatory correction of the immune system is required, which should be carried out by a dermatologist.

After the procedure, it is necessary to refrain from tanning, active water treatments, visiting saunas, active pressure on the area after removal.
