Polycystic (sclerocystic) ovarian disease

Polycystic ovarian disease is one of hormonal disorders, that leads to infertility because of the fact that ovulation does not occur in the correct phase of a menstrual cycle. In order to avoid infertility as well as other complications, such a patient needs to regularly visit a gynecologist for planned body examinations. Detection of the disease in the early stages increases the chances of a quick recovery as well as reduces the risks of the development of infertility. Polycystic ovarian disease develops as a result of a disorder in the functions of the following organs: ovaries, adrenal glands, hypothalamus, pituitary and thyroid gland. Usually, patients complain of lower abdominal pain, menstrual irregularities as well as secondary infertility.

In our clinic, the laser treatment of polycystic ovarian disease is done alongside routine treatment and involves ILIB (intravenous laser illumination of blood) as well as external laser illumination projected to the ovaries. The treatment duration is 10 – 12 procedures.

This complex therapeutic scheme is carried out twice with an interval of a month, which leads to a decrease of pain, normalization of the menstrual cycle as well as a decrease in the size of the ovaries is observed.
