Post-thrombophlebitic syndrome

Post-thrombophlebitic syndrome syndrome is a complex symptomatic disorder, which develops as a result of an embedded thrombus in the deep veins of the lower extremities. It comprises of a typical diversity of chronic vascular failure, which occurs secondary to varices, persistent edema, trophic skin and subcutaneous changes of the leg (tibia).

In our clinic, a developed and actively implemented therapeutic method for patients with post-thrombophlebitic syndrome is being administered. The course of treatment is administered after the patient has been consulted by a vascular surgeon. Combined administration of intravenous laser therapy, hydrotherapy and pharmacological therapy is carried out on the basis of the clinical presentation, age as well as concomitant pathologies which help in determining an individual treatment plan for each patient.
