Tonsillitis is an inflammation of the tonsils, more often the palatine tonsils. It could be acute or chronic in nature. Chronic tonsillitis develops after earlier episodes of angina and several other infectious diseases accompanied by inflammations of the mucous membranes of the oropharynx rarely without a previous acute disease. During chronic tonsillitis, ulcers are seen on the mucous membrane, pustules are seen on the depth of the tonsils and growth of connective tissue is observed.
For the treatment of tonsillitis in our clinic, we use therapeutic lasers, which provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, decreases intoxication as well as decreases the hospitalization period of the patient. Pain in the throat, feeling of a foreign body in the throat as well as the unpleasant smell in the mouth of the patient disappear after treatment.
For treatment purposes, red laser processing of the focuses through special nozzles are used. ILT (intravenous laser illumination of blood) is effectively used.
In the clinic, patients can always be consulted by an ENT-specialist (otorhinolaryngologist) as well as undergo laboratory investigations.
