What is a hygroma?
HYGROMA is a soft mass that appears near joints or tendons. It is a benign growth that requires surgical intervention only when it increases in size, causing pain or cosmetic concerns.
Causes of hygroma:
▪️ injuries;
▪️ excessive and regular joint strain;
▪️ underlying joint diseases;
▪️ hereditary factors.
At our clinic, we have developed treatment methods and a rehabilitation protocol that yield excellent results. We begin by diagnosing hygroma through ultrasound, visual examination, and palpation by a surgeon. Then, we create an individualized treatment plan, which may include:
▪️ Conservative approach – fluid evacuation from the cavity followed by the injection of a hormonal medication;
▪️ Surgical or laser removal of the hygroma along with its capsule;
▪️ Laser therapy – alleviating pain and inflammation, improving microcirculation. Additionally, infrared laser radiation is prescribed during the rehabilitation period after hygroma removal. Laser therapy helps eliminate the risk of recurrence.
In any case, do not delay and seek qualified assistance promptly! 🌷
